The van life scene in Ceredigion

The Ceredigion Coast Path follows cliffs and beaches along the bay, which is known for dolphins and seabirds. Inland, the Cambrian Mountains give way to wooded valleys and old mining country.

Parking up and staying legal in Ceredigion

Harbour car parks at Aberaeron and New Quay fill quickly in school holidays, and several have height barriers. Plan to use campsites and always check for no-overnight signs.

In Wales, wild camping is generally not allowed without the landowner’s permission, and overnight stays on roadsides and in car parks are often restricted by signs or local rules. Use campsites, farm stopovers or pubs that welcome vans, and follow the Countryside Code, which applies in England and Wales.

Read the Countryside Code. Please leave places as you found them, be considerate to residents, and see our Community Guidelines and Safety Tips.
