1. Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across vandates.com, and to keep improving as the platform grows.
2. What we have done
- Text and background colours are chosen for strong contrast.
- You can move around the site using a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Images have text descriptions, and pages use a logical heading structure.
- Forms have labels and clear error messages.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, our animations are turned off.
- The site adapts to phones, tablets and larger screens, and supports zooming up to 400%.
3. Known limitations
- The illustrated map on our homepage is an example. Its information is available as text when you select each pin, but we are working on making it easier to use with screen readers.
- Some decorative animations, such as the scrolling Popular places strip in the footer, pause when you hover over them or move to them with the keyboard, and have a Pause button. The pulsing green light on place cards and the scrolling strip are both turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
We review the site regularly and will fix issues as we find them.
4. Tell us about a problem
If you find something hard to use, or need information in a different format such as large print or plain text, email accessibility@vandates.com. Please tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
